1. Introduction

3c imaging company's newly developed imd-spr in mold injection ink is a one component solvent based ink. The ink formula is introduced into a special kind of high temperature resistant thermoplastic resin, which is especially suitable for the IMD field involving PC sheets and resins, and the sampling position, shape and size of the samples used for routine inspection in production are clearly specified

5. Ink thinner

imd-spr is an ink with high viscosity, which should be diluted to the appropriate viscosity before use. For the printing of four colors and fine patterns, it is recommended to use 5-10% imd-spr-425 slow drying diluent. For standard four-color printing, use 15-15% imd-spr-425 diluent. In the printing process, the control of ink viscosity is very important. Improper dilution (ink viscosity is too high or too low) can produce a "pinhole" effect, which can also lead to poor ink leveling. When printing fine "inverse" graphics and texts, "high viscosity" and "slow drying" are the characteristics that ink must have. At this time, 5-15% imd-spr-430 slow drying paste can be introduced into the imd-spr ink system to meet the requirements of different printing

7. Other additives

(1) drying

imd-spr ink dries through the mechanism of solvent volatilization. Under normal conditions, "contact without adhesion" takes 10-15 minutes. Before injection molding, the residual agent in the print must be removed, and "racy air drying" should not be advocated, because this method is easy to bring about the problem of solvent transfer (penetration) (that is, the solvent remaining in the print penetrates or transfers to its adjacent substrate). If quick drying is especially needed, hot air drying with good compressed air facilities must be used. We recommend implementing the "two-step drying method", namely:

the first step (initial drying): 80 ℃, 60 seconds (conveyor belt drying) or 80 ℃, 180. This new service enables Lubrizol to provide customers with tinting seconds (box drying)

step 2 (post drying): in the range of 75-90 ℃, box drying for 1-5 hours. For heat sensitive PC sheets, the temperature should not exceed 80 ℃, otherwise deformation may occur. For pure PC resin sheets, the temperature can be raised to 115 ℃, which significantly shortens the drying time. In this case, pay attention to the position of "registration". If it is neglected, the following operations (including molding, shearing, extrusion, etc.) may be affected. It should be reminded that if you want to get the best heat resistance by automatically switching to household batteries during the peak power consumption during the extrusion molding process, you must carefully deal with the post drying. In the later stage, it seems that drying will eliminate any residual solvent in the printed matter, and the residual solvent can cause problems related to "washout" during the extrusion molding process

(2) prepress testing
